Rusty Gloves

Saturdays: 9a - 10a
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 10a-11a
The Corner Boxing Club is grateful to serve as a resource to our Senior & Parkinson's Boxer community who have enriched our community and given our youth & members someone to look up to. Please see your doctor prior to participation for approval.

This program allows us to target the unique needs of Colorado’s seniors while simultaneously integrating them into their community. We offer both co-ed and women only classes for individuals looking to enrich their lives and support their physical health through movement and social connection. The Corner Boxing Club is also proud to offer our renowned Rusty Gloves program which provides a much needed physical outlet and social connection to individuals affected by Parkinson’s Disease and the challenges of aging. This program uses research-based interventions to manage and combat symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases. Boxing delivers a uniquely effective combination of mental and physical benefits to help individuals living with Parkinson’s take a swing back at this disease. This holistic approach increases mobility, strength, confidence, and self-efficacy, while decreasing fall risk, injury, and isolation.

Rusty Gloves Membership - $100 monthly/Sliding Scale

In an effort to remove barriers to access, our Rusty Gloves Membership is offered on a robust sliding scale. Please visit us in the office or email us for more information.

This boxing class is designed to challenge Senior participants in a fun and functional environment. We will spend the first part of class warming up with our ABC's (Adult Balance & Conditioning) in all three planes of motion. The second half of class we will lace up the gloves and smack some leather and break a sweat.

"We need to be challenged, and she treats us like people who can respond to a challenge."
- Ken Banks
